STTOS Season 1 You Nerd

Yes, if you understand that title and have continued reading, congratulations, you are a nerd.

I got the Star Trek (the original series) Season 1 DVD set for my birthday. I was completely shocked by how good the episodes were. The actors do a great job and do justice to the stories. It was a team effort with the music, the camera, the lighting, and all the details down to the opening credits are all well thought out and set the stage. I would have loved to experienced Star Trek for the first time in 1966. It must have been a great thrill to every 8 year old boy.

Sure there's plenty of junky sets and fake ears, but the story is always about the people and everyday issues.

Interestingly, the production order is different than the on-air date. Here's the production order (thanks wiki). I'm guessing that if you watch them in production order, you might pick up on character development a little more. Although, by mixing them up you may have scrambled the message just enough that people focus on it more?
